COMMUNITY GROUPS

Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the Good News that Jesus is the Christ. Acts 5:42

We believe that life change happens best in small groups, which is why connecting people into community is a priority at the Creek. Groups provide the perfect environment in which to develop meaningful relationships, experience spiritual growth, encourage one another, and enjoy the life God intends for us to live.

Groups gather at the church and in homes, offices, and coffee shops throughout the Saginaw/Azle/Fort Worth area. Each community has its own individual focus, purpose, and style so wherever you are on your journey, we have a group for you!

Groups form all the time, so check back often to learn what's new. To visit and/or join a community, simply choose the preferred area of town, meeting day, and group style, and get connected today!

FREQUENTLY ASKed QUESTIONS

Q: WHAT HAPPENS AT A LIFE GROUP GATHERING?

Picture friends getting together in someone's home to enjoy food, encouragement, and good conversation. There will be prayer, bible study, and plenty of time to learn new things in a safe and welcoming environment.

Q: CAN I VISIT DIFFERENT GROUPS BEFORE JOINING ONE?

Yes! We encourage you to attend a group at least twice, and feel free to visit several different groups before committing. You're also able to contact the leader beforehand to learn more about the group.

Q. WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW ANYONE? DO I HAVE TO JOIN IN THE DISCUSSION? I'M AN INTROVERT!

Our groups are extremely welcoming and you will make new friends, but we recognize that it often takes time. So, give it chance and take it slowly. Remember, it is God who designed each of us to be in relationship. Being connected is vital to our spiritual growth and well-being, and He has the perfect group already pick out for you.

Q. I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING THAT MEETS MY NEEDS. CAN I START A NEW GROUP?

Absolutely! You must love God, love people, and be a covenant member of the Creek. Ongoing training, support, and resources are provided. To learn more, complete this form or email groups@thecreekfw.com.

Q: IS CHILDCARE AVAILABLE DURING GROUP GATHERINGS?

Childcare varies by group. Some will provide a sitter on location, while others rely on the older children to watch the younger. If you'd like more details about a specific group, feel free to contact the leader directly.

Q: HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A GROUP?

The best method is to contact the leader first, introduce yourself, and learn more about the group dynamics. Once you've narrowed it down, simply click the GROUP FINDER and get ready to meet some great people!

what style of community group is best for me?

  • Life Group

Join a Life Group to make friends and build discipleship relationships with others in the church.  These ongoing small groups typically meet twice a month in homes throughout the community.  Groups can be geographic or demographic by nature and include time for devotion or study.

  • Bible groups

Bible Groups provide an opportunity to grow deeper in your faith or to address life challenges. These groups meet at The Creek and change by semester, so there are several opportunities each year to choose something new!

  • Interest Groups

Interest Groups give people with shared interests, hobbies or needs the opportunity to gather for fun or support. Meeting dates and frequency vary by group.
